The December Pixel Scrapper Blog Train

Pixel Scrapper's December Blog Train is leaving the station! The theme this month was "At the Table," which leaves a lot of room for interpretation. We celebrate Chanukah, so I thought it would be nice to have my part reflect that, as there are many Christmas kits, but not a whole lot of Chanukah things out there for you digital scrappers who may celebrate it! There are also some fun, arty elements, paints, and papers that aren't holiday-related.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! Today I get to spend time with both my husband's family (for his mom's birthday), and with my family for Thanksgiving dinner. I am so grateful to have a wonderful support system on both sides, who cheer on my son at his shows, and assist in a lot of the "getting him to and from" places.

I am also thankful for you, my comrades in digital scrapbooking. As a token of appreciation, I created a quick page and a few winter flairs using Leigh Penrod Digital Designs paper and elements.

If you are unfamiliar with Leigh's work, her blog is HERE. And you can purchase her scrapbooking kits at Digi Style Designs and Go Digital Scrapbooking.

The quick page below was creating using her kit "Chasing the Blues." Personal use only, please!

You can download it from Dropbox HERE.

The flairs were created using papers from "Chasing the Blues" and her "Winter Friends" elements. Personal use only, please! To download, right-click on the images and click "Save Image."

Enjoy your time with your family and friends, and, as always, happy scrapping!

December Will Be Here Soon!

I can't believe December is right around the corner! I am very excited for the December Pixel Scrapper blog train, and I have a quick page using some of the elements in my kit for you as a "sneak peek!"

The file does not contain the picture or journaling. ;)

Happy scrapping!

Football & Flowers

Sorry, folks! The time slipped away from me this week as my son was in final tech rehearsals for "A Christmas Carol" at Goodman Theatre. I managed to make a little time this afternoon to do another painted flower for you, though.

PU only. If you know of anyone who would enjoy this, please direct them here to my blog.

Football & Flowers

It has been a crazy weekend here, and my son is going into Tech Week for his show that starts November 19, so it is bound to get even crazier! I attempted something new this week. Instead of  a flower picture, I painted a flower. Hope you like it!

PU only, please. If you know someone who would enjoy it, please send them here to this blog. To save, right-click and "Save Image."

Happy scrapping!

Football & Flowers

It's another brisk fall Sunday here in the midwest, and many of us here in Chicago had a great reason to celebrate this week, with the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series! The city had a huge parade and rally downtown, which made bringing my son to rehearsal nearly impossible on Friday- we made it downtown and fought the crowds to get to the theatre in time for a costume fitting, only to find out rehearsal was cancelled. :/

Anyhow, here is a pretty little yellow flower for you. PU only- please direct people here to the blog if you know someone who would like it, too!

To save, right click and select "Save Image." Enjoy, and happy scrapping!

The November Pixel Scrapper Blog Train

The November Pixel Scrapper blog train has left the station! This month's theme was "Enchanting Autumn." I deviated a bit from the traditional autumn stuff. I don't know why, but it made me think of garden statues and butterflies. All photography for the papers and elements is my own. I *finally* got a new laptop, a Surface Book, which is the coolest thing ever- it allows me to paint and draw on the screen within Photoshop, so I experimented a little with the butterflies in this kit.
